Description
Honey-Glazed Ham with Pineapple is a delicious and impressive dish perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 8–10 pounds)
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 can (15 oz) pineapple slices in juice, drained
- Whole cloves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the Ham: Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Score the surface in a diamond pattern, making shallow cuts.
- Make the Glaze: In a saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and ground cinnamon. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.
- Glaze the Ham: Brush half of the glaze over the scored surface of the ham, ensuring it gets into the cuts.
- Add Pineapple: Arrange the pineapple slices on top of the ham. Secure with toothpicks or cloves if desired.
- Bake: Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil and brush with the remaining glaze.
- Continue Baking: Bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes, or until the ham is heated through and caramelized.
- Rest: Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
- Serve: Slice the ham and serve with the glazed pineapple on the side.
