Description

Enjoy this Honey Soy Salmon Air Fryer recipe that promises a quick and delicious meal packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 fillets Salmon (Substitute with trout for a similar taste.)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil (Avocado oil can also be used.)
  • 2 tablespoons Honey (Opt for runny honey for easy measurement.)
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce (Use dark for depth or light if preferred.)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika (Regular or hot paprika is a good substitute.)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste (Garlic powder can be used if needed.)
  • 1 teaspoon Chili paste (Red pepper flakes or cayenne can replace it.)
  • to taste Salt (Elevate flavors.)
  • to taste Ground black pepper (Adjust to taste.)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds (Adds texture and crunch.)
  • 2 wedges Lemon (Brings brightness and balances sweetness.)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, honey, garlic paste, chili paste, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Blend well until smooth and fragrant.
  2. If necessary, descale the salmon fillets, then pat them dry with a paper towel. Place the fish in a Ziploc bag or shallow dish for marinating.
  3. Pour the prepared marinade over the salmon, seal the bag, and gently massage it to ensure the fish is well coated. Let it marinate for 15-30 minutes for optimal flavor absorption.
  4. Transfer the marinated salmon fillets (skin side down) to an oven-safe dish that fits in your air fryer basket. If you don’t have a dish, line the basket with aluminum foil and carefully place the salmon inside. Pour any remaining marinade over the fish.
  5. Set your air fryer to 195°C/390°F and cook the salmon for 6-8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F. The fish should be opaque and flake easily with a fork.
  6. Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer. Serve it over a bed of rice with steamed vegetables. Garnish your plated dish with sesame seeds and lemon wedges for an extra touch of flavor.
