Description
Refreshing Mango Iced Tea for Your Ultimate Summer Chill
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bags Black tea bags
- 64 oz Water
- 3 Ripe mangoes
- 1 oz Lemon juice
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 10 leaves Mint leaves
- 1 slice Lime slices
Instructions
- Prepare the Mango: Cut the mangoes into halves and remove the seeds. Scoop the mango pulp into a blender, pureeing until smooth. Strain the puree to remove any chunky bits for a silky texture.
- Brew the Tea: Pour 32 oz of water into a pot and bring to a boil. Add the black tea bags, then remove from heat, letting them steep for at least 15 minutes. Chill the tea in the fridge afterward.
- Make the Simple Syrup: In another pot, bring 32 oz of water to a boil. Stir in the sugar until dissolved, then add the lemon juice. Simmer until slightly thickened, avoiding a syrupy texture.
- Combine & Chill: Remove the syrup from heat and stir in the mango puree. Mix until combined, then chill alongside the black tea in the refrigerator.
- Shake it Up: In a cocktail shaker, add ice, 4 oz of the mango syrup, and 4 oz of the brewed black tea. Shake for 30 seconds until chilled and pour into a tall glass filled with ice. Top with extra iced tea if desired, and garnish with lime slices and mint leaves.
