Description
Enjoy a refreshing Mango Iced Tea that feels like a tropical getaway with every sip.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Water (for brewing tea)
- 2 bags Black Tea Bags (or loose leaf for fresher taste)
- 2 cups Ripe Mango (diced, or frozen mango cubes)
- 1 tablespoon Honey (adjust to taste)
- as needed Ice (for serving iced tea)
Instructions
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Pour it over black tea bags in a large pitcher and steep for 10 minutes until the tea is rich in color. Remove the tea bags and let it cool completely.
- In a saucepan, boil another 2 cups of water. Add diced mango and reduce the heat to a simmer. Let it cook for about 10 minutes until softened, then mash the mango into a smooth puree.
- Strain the mango puree into the pitcher with the cooled tea mixture. Give it a gentle stir, allowing the sweet mango and robust tea to blend harmoniously.
- Add honey to the pitcher, stirring until fully dissolved. This ensures each sip is perfectly sweetened to suit your taste buds.
- If you prefer it extra chilled, refrigerate the mixture for 15 minutes. Serve over ice and optionally garnish with fresh mango slices or mint leaves for an enticing touch.
