Description

Effortless Mini Caprese Bites for Flavorful Gatherings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil
  • 8 ounces Small Mozzarella Balls (Bocconcini)
  • 3 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes, then optionally cut them in half. Place them in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil, tossing gently to coat.
  2. Drain and pat dry the mozzarella balls to prevent sogginess.
  3. Assemble the bites by threading a cherry tomato, a basil leaf, and a mozzarella ball onto a toothpick.
  4. Drizzle assembled bites with olive oil and balsamic glaze, then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Refrigerate for about 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Grape tomatoes can be an excellent substitute for cherry tomatoes.
  • Mint or parsley can be used as alternatives for basil.
  • Part-skim mozzarella can reduce fat content.
  • A homemade reduction of balsamic vinegar is a great alternative for balsamic glaze.
  • Use high-quality extra virgin olive oil for best results.
