Description

Stained glass jello is a colorful dessert made with Jello and sweetened condensed milk, resembling broken glass.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 3-ounce boxes Jello gelatin (blue, orange, red, green)
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 2.25-ounce envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Make Jello. In four small containers, dissolve one packet of each color Jello with 1 cup boiling water. Chill for 2 hours or until set.
  2. Slice Jello into cubes. Once set, slice into small cubes and place in a 9×13 dish, dispersing colors evenly. Refrigerate.
  3. White gelatin mixture. In a heatproof bowl, dissolve unflavored gelatin in 2 cups very hot water. Add sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and vanilla; stir to combine. Cool to room temperature.
  4. Combine. Pour white gelatin mixture over color Jello cubes. Chill overnight or until completely set.
  5. Slice and serve. Cut into squares or fun shapes and serve.
